“In the world of photography, you get to share a captured moment with other people.”

It was Christmas and I was five years old. My first camera was a Kodak 110 Pocket Camera—the world was now in the palm of my hand. I could document anything and everything—I remember one picture I took of my Grandma, and I am so glad I still have that memory of her as it would be one of the last. Life is so short and so precious, and photography gives me a way to hold onto and relive some of those moments.
I love that every wedding is different and even an adventure. I get the opportunity to immerse myself in one of the biggest days of a couple’s life and to capture forever the laughter and love of that one day. I want to create images and photograph moments that you will cherish for the rest of your life and that your children and grandchildren will cherish, as well.
“There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.”
― Ansel Adams
I have been intrigued by photography ever since I was 12 years old–I love pausing the chaotic moments in life. I want to create art–images that take you in and make you wonder.

When I was 13 I fell in love with music, mainly the classical guitar. I would play for hours trying to make something original. I think most of my life I have been striving to create something that I feel I can put a stamp on and say I am proud of; I strive for this in every wedding I photograph. I don’t want to create for the “industry standards”; I like breaking rules.
I want to be honest about what I love doing: photography. It’s the work that it takes to capture the moment and the anxiety, rush, and excitement of trying to make something from the love of two people and creating something that is tangible and new to them, something they have never seen and something that I feel is new and fresh: a stamp that I am proud of. I think that’s what drives me to continue with the artistic relentlessness that photography engages me in, the moments that life gives us and why I love it so much.
At the end of the day I what to create something that is human and awesome!
